What is your cancellation policy for direct bookings?
We publish it rather than bury it, because it is one of the better arguments for booking with us:
- 96% refund if you cancel up to 14 days before arrival
- 46% refund if you cancel up to 7 days before arrival
That policy is displayed at checkout before you pay, not in a linked document you have to hunt for. Palm Springs trips get built around events, work schedules and other people’s plans, and those change. You should know the terms before you commit, not after.
How much do you actually save by booking direct?

Several of our desert homes have optional pool heating. On a platform that is a toggle with a fee attached. With us it is a conversation — we will tell you honestly whether you will want it for your dates, because desert water outside of high summer is colder than people expect. A private chef, if you want one
We offer a private chef service as an add-on for direct guests. It is a good fit for milestone birthdays, small anniversary groups and any trip where nobody wants to cook on the first night. It is not available through the platforms.

We would rather say this than have you feel oversold.
Brand familiarity is real. If you have never heard of us, a platform’s name is a form of insurance, and we understand why a first-time guest wants it. Nothing on this page changes that.
Comparison shopping is genuinely easier there. If you want to look at fifteen homes from eight different companies in one search, a platform does that and our site cannot.
A non-refundable platform rate narrows the gap considerably. Our roughly 10% compares flexible to flexible.
