Driving: The most popular and convenient way to get around Big Bear is by car. With parking available for three cars at the property and ample parking at nearby attractions, you'll have the freedom to explore the region at your own pace. The Moonridge neighborhood is just a short drive from Big Bear Village, where you'll find a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Shuttle Services: During peak winter season, the Big Bear Trolley and Mountain Transit provide convenient shuttle services, connecting you to key locations around Big Bear City and Big Bear Lake, including ski resorts, shopping centers, and recreational areas. This is a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to driving, and schedules can be found on the Mountain Transit website. Walking: For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the Moonridge neighborhood is perfect for walking, when not snowing, with quiet streets close by hiking trails that showcase the area's natural beauty. Biking: Bring your bike or rent one from a local shop to explore Big Bear's extensive network of bike paths and trails. Simply download the app and request a ride to your desired destination. Traveling in winter: CalTrans can mandate all vehicles to carry snow chains between November 1st and April 30th. Chains are sold at most auto supply shops, hardware stores, and some convenience stores. We will not be held responsible and do not issue refunds if the city doesn't allow you up the mountain because your vehicle does not have snow chains. Family friendly: • Being parents of young kids ourselves, we know how hard traveling can be sometimes, we have really tried our best to accommodate for young families • We have a pack N plays and crib sheets available • Plastic plates, bowls, cups, sippy cups and kids spoons, knives and forks • Kids toys, books, games and puzzles for the whole family to enjoy Pets: • We are pet friendly at a fee of $75 per pet, per stay. • We have a small dog bed available, doggy treats and poop bags. • Cleaning up after your pet is your responsibility. No pets are to be left unattended in the home. Barking dogs often result in neighbor complaints. **Extra pet fees will be added though our guest portal after booking is confirmed.
